About RPS Oncology

Radiation oncology is all we do. Founded by a clinical medical physicist and led by radiation oncology professionals, RPS built its staffing model around knowing the therapists, understanding their clinical experience, and being ready before a department needs coverage.

Why we exist

We saw the staffing problem from inside the clinic.

Our physicists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists have worked in radiation oncology departments across the country. We have seen firsthand how quickly a staffing gap can affect schedules, capacity, and the people working to keep treatment moving.

We also know that a license and a résumé don’t tell the whole story. Treatment platform, OIS, technique, workflow, and level of clinical independence matter.

That’s why we built a staffing model around clinical understanding, rather than simply availability.

Clinical expertise should shape every placement.

  1. Clinicians evaluate clinicians

    There’s a difference between having a treatment platform on your résumé and independently treating patients on it. Our clinical team evaluates what therapists have actually done: the platforms and OIS they’ve used, techniques they’ve treated, imaging and simulation experience, and their level of independence in the clinic.

    We understand the experience behind the résumé before we introduce the therapist to you.

  2. Be ready before the need arises

    Staffing needs often develop quickly. RPS works before the request arrives by maintaining therapist profiles, tracking credentials and licensure, documenting clinical experience, and staying connected to availability through the RPS Priority Network.

    When most agencies get the call, they start searching. When RPS gets the call, we start matching.

  3. Build relationships that last

    We measure success beyond a single placement. We want departments to call RPS again and therapists to return for their next opportunity.

RPS began in 2011 as Radiation Physics Services, a medical physics practice, and expanded into dosimetry, clinical consulting, and radiation oncology staffing. In 2024, the RPS physics and dosimetry practice joined One Physics. RPS Oncology is now focused on specialized radiation therapist staffing, built on the same clinical foundation.

Charles Conduah

Charles Conduah, M.S., DABR

Founder & CEO

Charles is a board-certified therapeutic medical physicist who founded RPS in 2011. His clinical background shapes RPS Oncology’s approach to staffing and consulting: understanding the technology, workflows, and clinical demands of a radiation oncology department before building a team or implementing a program.

He built RPS’s medical physics and dosimetry practice and today leads RPS Oncology’s growth in specialized radiation therapist staffing, radiation oncology consulting, and new program development and implementation.

Kayla Hanson

Kayla Hanson, R.T.(R)(T)

Director of Radiation Therapy

Registered radiation therapist with more than a decade of clinical and operational experience, including staff therapist, supervisory, and management roles. Kayla leads therapist screening, clinical-experience evaluation, matching, and assignment support for RPS, while also leading radiation therapy operations and new clinic implementation.
