Locum Therapist Coverage · Temp-to-Hire · Permanent · Led by Radiation Oncology Clinicians
We don’t start the file when you call.
Most agencies send a résumé and start the credentialing file after you commit. RPS maintains credentialing and clinical-experience files on therapists in our network before a coverage request arrives. When you call, we’re matching from people we already know rather than starting from scratch.
Illustrative RPS therapist file. Facility-specific requirements are completed for each assignment.
What you get
A file already started. A known fit. One clinical team.
Credentialing starts before you call
RPS maintains credentialing records for therapists in our network before a coverage request arrives, including ARRT verification, state licensure, exclusion screening, and clinical experience. Facility-specific requirements are added when an assignment is confirmed.
A network we already know
We’re not starting from zero every time a department calls. We match your request against available therapists already in the RPS network, including therapists who have completed assignments with us before.
Experience matched to your department
We document experience by treatment platform, OIS, technique, and level of clinical independence so we can match therapists to your department rather than simply send whoever is available.
Coverage data
Experience matched to the equipment and techniques already in your department.
Who this is for
Coverage built around the gap you actually have.
Coverage for a known gap, arranged for a specific date. Most requests reach us as one of four situations.
- Vacancy
- A therapist has left and the role is still open. We'll cover the gap until you find the right hire, or you can convert the placement to permanent if it's a good fit.
- Leave
- Parental, medical, or extended leave, with a defined start and end date the department can plan around.
- Second shift
- Evening capacity or extended hours, often the hardest to fill locally.
- Go-live
- A new linac, treatment platform, or SRS, SBRT, or HDR program that needs experienced therapists in place before the first patient.
Short contracts and long ones. If the gap does not look like any of these, describe it and we will tell you plainly whether it is ours to cover.

How we deliver it
Send the gap. We come back with therapists who fit it.
Four steps, and one contact who stays with the assignment from the request through the last week of the contract.
- day 0
You send the gap
Modality, platform, OIS, shift, and dates. That is usually enough for us to start.
- same day
We match from our network
We identify available therapists with documented experience on your platform, OIS, and relevant treatment techniques.
- on acceptance
Onboarding set
Facility orientation, EMR access, and dosimeter badge scheduled by RPS against your confirmed start date.
- through contract
We stay on it
Monthly exclusion re-screening, license expiration tracking, and one contact who knows the assignment.

What sets RPS apart
What sets us apart
Clinicians choosing clinicians
Therapists are evaluated by radiation oncology professionals who understand the difference between having a platform on a résumé and independently treating patients on it.
Ready before the request
Through the RPS Priority Network, we maintain credentialing and clinical-experience profiles before the staffing need arrives. When you call, we can start matching from therapists we already know.
One team through the assignment
RPS coordinates matching, credentialing, onboarding, travel, and assignment support, with one team staying involved from the initial request through the end of the assignment.
Questions we get
Before you send the request
Anything not answered here, ask it in the request below or call the number on it.
We match from our network the same day the request arrives and come back with available therapists whose platform and OIS experience is already documented. The start date is then set by your facility onboarding and badging. Credentialing is coordinated before that start date.
RPS does, against your confirmed start date. Travel and housing are arranged before day one, along with facility orientation. Our recruiters can name your treatment platform, so the logistics conversation does not fall to your team.
Yes. Temp-to-hire gives both the department and therapist the opportunity to experience the working relationship before making a long-term commitment. You can evaluate the clinical fit, workflow, team dynamics, and day-to-day experience before deciding whether to make the placement permanent. If both sides want to move forward, RPS coordinates the transition.
One Physics. In 2024 the RPS clinical physics and dosimetry division became part of One Physics, and the same physicists and dosimetrists still support RPS departments, led by Charles Conduah as a clinical practice group lead. You can start with us for any of it.
Tell your RPS contact. We would rather replace a placement than have a director manage around one, and the contact who took your request handles that directly.
Talk it through
Send the gap and we will start matching, usually the same business day. If you would rather talk it over first, the phone line reaches our team directly.
